Q) In the figure below, 4 identical rectangles were place around square ABCD to form a large square, EFGH. The area of one rectangle is 12cm^{2} and the area of ABCD is 1/4 of EFGH. Find the length of one rectangle.

Area of 4 rectangles = 48
3units = 48
1unit = 16cm
area of ABCD = 16, hence length of the square = 4
area of EFGH = 64, hence length of the bigger square = 8
breadth of rectangle = (8-4)/ 2 = 2
length of rectangle = 12/2 =6
